As a Naturopathic Doctor, I have access to a variety of standard and functional medical tests. The following list is a subset of tests NDs have access to:
Standard blood tests
To check different organ systems, nutrient delicacies and inflammation- like iron status, blood sugar, Vitamin D, lipid panel and many more
Food sensitivity testing
Checks your blood for immune markers against specific foods. Food sensitivities can be an underlying cause of eczema, digestive concerns, migraines and many other health concerns.
Saliva testing
Assess hormone levels as it relates to menstrual cycle irregularities, fertility, menopause, stress, and insomnia . The benefit of using saliva is that you can take multiple samples throughout the day or month to identify abnormal trends without having to go to the lab.
Urine testing
With testing urine, we have access to a number of different tests. We can check for infections, assess for toxic metal burden and assess hormones levels as it relates to, menstrual cycle irregularities, fertility, menopause, stress, and insomnia.
Stool testing
Through testing stool we can assess the good and bad microbes in the large intestine. We can also identify how you digest your food.
Breath testing
By testing you breath we can assess for H. pylori infection in the stomach and bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine (SIBO)
