Welcome Fall
I’ve missed you!
It’s been over 6 months since I last saw patients in person. I’ve really missed seeing all of you so I’ve decided to offer…
Home Visits!!!!!
I’ll be taking precautions and following the safety guidelines set out by the Naturopathic College.
So if you need something physically checked like blood pressure or pulses. Or you want a hands on therapy like acupuncture or Mayan abdominal massage. Reach out to set up at time for me to come to your home.
I will continue to offer virtual and phone visits. You can schedule these online or by phone or email.
I am looking forward to seeing you in person again!
As the cooler weather hits I crave hot drinks. I find holding a warm mug so comforting. Here’s a recipe for anti-inflammatory golden milk with a seasonal twist!!
Ingredients
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond or coconut milk
2 tbsp pumpkin puree
1/2 tsp teaspoon ground turmeric
1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp cinnamon
pinch black pepper
1 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 tbsp coconut oil
Instructions
Heat milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
Add remaining ingredients, and whisk together.
Simmer for 2 minutes, whisking until frothy.
Pour into mug, and enjoy!
Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory herb. The black pepper and coconut oil improve it’s absorption. It’s great for an upset stomachs, period cramps or achy joints!
Routine Routine Routine
Just like January is full of new resolutions, fall is a time when you do all that stuff you didn’t do all year – optician, physical check-up, blood work, dentist etc.
I can help …
Book an appointment to review what blood tests are indicated for you. I am able to send you your requisition through email if we are meeting virtually. Then we will follow up once the results arrive.
Or if you are getting them done yearly through your family doctor, request a copy and send them my way.
It is great to compare your yearly results. Tests like cholesterol and blood sugar can indicate if things are going in the wrong direction long before a diagnosis of heart disease or diabetes.
I review your labs from a functional medical approach and want your levels to be in the optimal range. I have seen numerous patients that aren’t feeling 100% but have been told everything is normal on their bloodwork. Normal doesn’t mean optimal. Connect to see if your levels are optimal!
Try not to hibernate just yet. Get out and enjoy all the beauty of fall.
